Our special tour on May 1, 2021 was a success. Tulsa Tours donated all $1,000 in ticket sales to the nonprofit Kendall Whittier Historic Main Street. Currently there are no plans to repeat this tour in 2022.
After decades of decline, Kendall Whittier has bounced back in a big way. KW is now full of indie creatives and family-friendly shops and eateries—some recently established and others decades strong. Last year, the neighborhood was selected as one of three Great American Main Streets, a coveted award from the nonprofit National Main Street Center.
This inaugural maker tour explores 10 establishments where you’ll hear inside info from a business owner or employee while outside on the sidewalk. We’ll snack and sip along the way and accumulate swag—all included in the tour price.

📍 Meeting place: SE corner of Admiral & Lewis outside Whittier Square parking lot.
⏳ Duration: Tours last about 2 hours. Time will fly with all these little stops!
🍼 Kids: Children may join for free, but will not receive their own snacks or swag. They must remain outside the fence at Bar 473.
🐩 Dogs: Most of the tour is pup friendly!
🐍 Other pets: Maybe leave at home? 🤷♀️
🚘 Free parking: Whittier Square lot (SE corner Admiral & Lewis) or street parking on Admiral is also freely available.
💸 Refunds: Swag is available for pickup should guests not be able to attend. Refunds may be given on a case-by-case basis for emergencies, but otherwise we ask guests not to cancel so we can support our small businesses.
